Captive Portal

Captive portals are becoming a popular way for operators to provide user authentication and IP flow management (basically traffic shaping and bandwidth control) without a required client application. They work by forcing un-authenticated users to a web page, once “captured”  by allowing the web page to interact for complete access control.

Our Captive Portal solution for core network components are based on different scenarios such as:
Existing customers who choose to access Wi-Fi over IPoE (DHCP based access mechanism) i.e., through Captive Portal.
Other than existing customers, the system will allow such users through their MSISDN number but for such users charging is not applicable.
Public Wi-Fi hotspots e.g, malls, lounges where users will buy vouchers of various denominations and access Wi-Fi.
